What does the warranty cover?
The warranty covers any unusual wear and tear of the fabric, the colour of it and it’s applicable as of the date of the awning installation.
When does it begin?
This warranty takes effect from the date of installation.
What document is it important to preserve?
It is extremely important to keep the installer's invoice in order to access the warranty.
What does the warranty replace??
The warranty covers only the replacement of the fabric necessary to restore the awning, without including any other items.
What does the warranty not cover?
Any part of the awning other than the fabric manufactured by Sauleda, S.A., such as the iron fittings, mechanisms, hanging parts, structures, etc.
The installation of the awning, the assembly and production, installation and maintenance thereof.
The wear and tear of the fabric caused by ageing and normal use.
Damages produced by inappropriate installation, maintenance, handling or cleaning with abrasive products.

Particularly, the warranty excludes the following accidents, misuse and negligence:

• Insufficient maintenance, the use of unsuitable products or tools.
• The improper use of detergents, chemical products or solvents, scrapers or abrasive brushes, or other tools that may harm the fabric.
• Unusual weather conditions.
• Air pollution, the use of pesticides, soiling caused by animals, bird excrements.
• Faults resulting from the assembly, improper handling by user.
• The fall of objects on the fabric, cigarette burns, firecrackers, flares or others, fire.
• Placing objects on the fabric, car accidents, vandalism...

How the warranty works:
Sauleda, S.A. shall replace the damaged fabric with brand new fabric.
Sauleda, S.A. shall not be responsible for the cost involved in disassembling the old awning and installing the new one.

The warranty is access once the required expert valuations have been conducted as follows:

• During the first 7 years Sauleda, S.A. shall replace, either for free or according to convenience, the damaged fabric with brand new fabric, excluding any and all expenses, and shall not be responsible for the cost involved in disassembling the old awning and installing the new one.
  In case of claim in subsequent years:
• On the 8th year, once the prior expert valuations have been made, Sauleda, S.A. shall apply a 50% discount to the purchase of a new fabric.
• On the 9th year, once the prior expert valuations have been made, Sauleda, S.A. shall apply a 25% discount to the purchase of a new fabric.
• On the 10th year, once the prior expert valuations have been made, Sauleda, S.A. shall apply a 15% discount to the purchase of a new fabric.

How is the claim managed?
Within 15 days from noticing the damage, a certified letter with acknowledgement of receipt shall be addressed to SAULEDA, S.A. - Departamento de Atención al cliente (Customer Service Department) - Travessera de les Corts, 102 E - 08028 BARCELONA (Spain), attaching the purchase invoice.
Next, the fabric will be examined by the experts and specialists of SAULEDA, S.A.'s insurance company.
In the event the solution may be to replace the fabric or to reimburse the faulty fabric, this will not imply an extension of the warranty for the replaced fabric.
